Hi, welcome to the next installment of “ The Deeper Side Of Bass” blog. Now that the festive period is over for another year, this only means one thing, new music for the next 12 months. January has been a pleasant month in relation to EP’s and LP that dropped upon us………
….. So to start things off, Rotation Deep sees the release of t heir 2nd LP “ Definitions of the deep 2” which features 30 tracks of pure bliss. This LP is an album, which has loads to offer with tracks from Blue Motion, Seathasky, Stunna, Fracture Design, Asanyeh & many more. The album takes you on a serious journey through the different styles of Liquid Drum & Bass as a whole. Personally this LP has a special meaning, as it features one of my tracks “Spiritual Healing”. Definitions of the deep explores deep atmospheric, melodic tones, with sub sonic bass lines to shake down the house.

January also saw the release of 839 Remixes on MJAZZ Records. This LP is a multi – gene album that blends between deep minimal drum & bass, techno to down tempo beats that are accompanied with melodic sounds & sub-tastic bass lines. Featuring remixes from Dominic Ridgway, Fushura, LO:TEK, Momentum & many more. For those of you whole like a mixture of different styles of electronic music this LP is a must for your collection, also the LP comes with a booklet with some background information relating to the producers featured on the LP. 839 Remixes comes highly recommended.

Daylight EP by Es.tereo on Deep Soul Music was an instant favorite upon hearing it. Es.tereo has a diverse take on Drum & Bass that has left a footprint in the scene, as listeners try to understand the mind that is Es.tereo. This EP is for those who like their D&B deep, dark and dubby this one is a must for your collection.

Last month also saw DubKraft Records front man, Alien Pimp Release his album titled “Human Farming”. This album is 13 tracks of well-crafted pieces of music. Mainly featuring tracks of a techno nature, human farming consists of crazy arpeggiaed leads, pulsating uplifting minimal beats with atmospheric pads that will let you float away with the music. 2012 is set to be a good year for Dubkraft Records so you lot keep a look out.
Alien Pimp and Dubkraft Records is one to watch for 2012.
